TeaTap Café, P. Guevarra (San Juan)

by Hans Lim and Justin Gotamco

On October 2010, TeaTap was founded and became a welcome addition to the growing list of milk tea stores present in the country. The sole branch can be located in P. Guevarra, corner, Wilson St., San Juan City. TeaTap is open from Monday-Sunday at 11:00 am-11:00 pm. The larger-than-average size of the store sets TeaTap apart from many of the other milk tea stores. It offers a great variety of delicious milk tea in grande or tall size.
The taste of the milk tea they offer is sweet and very genuine. You may ask the person in the counter to adjust the sugar level based on your personal preference. Aside from their milk tea, TeaTap also serves food from Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Taiwanese cuisine such as the hot and tasty Takoyaki. The price here is a little bit higher than the typical small milk tea stores but it definitely offers quality milk tea and snacks. People that order drinks also get a “Tapcard” and get a stamp per order, one stamp is given for every grande or every 2 tall drinks that you order. You can get a free upgrade with 5 stamps and a free grande sized milk tea drink with 10 stamps. When you are not sure of what you want to order because of the wide variety, you can just ask for recommendations based on what people usually order.

The logo of TeaTap is in the shape of a cat’s head and paw in blue. It is quite comfortable to stay here and order food and drinks with your friends while chatting at the same time in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. You should definitely come and try at TeaTap the food and drinks because it is something that you must try. Even if you have been to many other milk tea stores, TeaTap can still give one a unique experience.
